So Aspire friends isn’t this just a little bit special or what…. In fact before even starting with a write up we have to give credit to the previous owner on this awesome Lambretta the attention to detail and quality is absolutely superb. I’ve had the pleasure of riding her today for some photos and the noise of that tuned 2 stroke and the attention it got which brought some friendly banter too when pulled up just show what a great job has been done here.
Skipping back slightly I was somewhat apprehensive and a little bit excited let’s say of riding this scooter, so with turning on the fuel and pulling the choke lever a swift stroke of the kickstart as you feel a heap of comprehension give way as she barks in to life. Pulling away its super smooth and its close ratio gears engage precisely and once selected giving it a heap of throttle and hang on as you start to come on song in an immense power band you can’t help but grin, think I laughed out loud and maybe a little bit of wee I can’t be sure but without doubt the most exciting scooter I’ve ridden.
You know something has captured your interest when you get home and want to ride it again already its an absolutely addictive machine to ride and someone is going to really get a one off Scooter that’s been magazine featured that will instantly win awards or shows wherever they take it.
A little history for those that will want to know, this custom Scooter is based on a series 3 Lambretta 1970 GP200 certified frame and engine from the Lambretta club of great Britain. Come with lots and lots of history and previous MOT’s.
The custom work is extensive as is the paint job which is an incredible standard. The last rebuild was done at no expense spared by Chris Sturgess in Tamworth a couple of months back and fitting its 5 speed Cyclone gearbox, new seals, bearings and vape ignition system. TLH racing clutch to avoid destroying standard clutches due to the spec. BGM front shocks, rear adjustable suspension, alloy light weight rims, Anodized gear linages, custom trick side stand and centre stand, Ceramic tuned pipe, 34mm flat side MX carb couple to the engine which benefited from the head being tuned originally by Darryl Taylor giving it an incredible 103mph plus top speed with its 4 speed box, now fitted with a 5 speed close ratio box so we could be looking at one of the quickest UK scooters .. potentially !
Not content with all that.. well there’s even a custom airbrushed Simpson Bandit helmet to match to go with it… how cool is that!
So peeps, scooter fans, bikers… doesn’t matter you need this in you life , so grab those early badger tickets this will sell out quickly for sure.. best of luck to you all !
