The awesome and dare we say almost legendary MT range from Yamaha and we’ve got this flipping lovely SP edition of the MT09!!
These are rapidly becoming the bike of choice as an alternative to the sports bike and our MT is a absolute nutter with 113 bhp its light weight hugely chuckable around the bends as it only weighs 193kg so she likes to lift a front wheel if you gently whisper “badger” in its ear or so I’m told.
This is a 2018 version with just over 7k and one previous owner and it really is like new, hugely cared for with a delicious sounding Scorpion exhaust ensures you will be heard before your are seen! Tail tidy and being the SP (or as Yamaha originally badged it “sports Production” I’m told) edition it has the R1M colour scheme – still one of my favourite bikes on the planet so it sure does look the part with its blue rims, gold forks , digital dash and the Ohlins rear shock set up which is worth every penny of the SP allowing for better power delivery and of course its fully adjustable for fast road or track riding.
A cracking little feature on MT09 is that it has a slip assist clutch and a quick shifter for a gorgeous sound up through the gears winding up that lovely sounding Yamaha triple!
So if you want a bike to commute on, perhaps your first big bike, maybe a track bike or just an alternative to sit next to the cruiser or sports bike an MT09 needs to be in the collection so are you feeling lucky!
